a wonderful plant to have in your garden, and will create plenty of excuses

Mistletoe Grow-kits make an ideal gift for Gardeners and, with mistletoe's romantic traditions, are particularly suitable for Valentine's Day, or for Mother's Day/Mothering Sunday and Easter.

About our GYO Mistletoe Kit
Our kit has been developed by mistletoe expert Jonathan Briggs, and is an improved version of the popular kits he designed for Tenbury Mistletoe from 2006-2009. Each kit contains (click the pictures below for details) 50 freshly-picked berries, enough for about 10 plantings, with detailed instructions, labelling material and a recording form to keep track of each plant.
The mistletoe planting season is Feburary to April, and our kits, with freshly picked ripe berries, are only sent out then.
You can order Kits in advance - or buy a Grow-Kit Gift Card to give at Christmas, Valentine's Day or other occasions.
What else will you need? A tree to grow it on, as it is a hemi-parasite of tree branches and can’t grow on its own. Apple trees are mistletoe's favourite host, but lots of other garden tree species are also suitable (there's a list in the kit).
One last thing - you’ll need some patience, as mistletoe grows very slowly in the first 3 or 4 years. It’s well worth the wait, as once it gets established it grows quite fast, giving you plenty of kissing opportunities every Christmas!

Our Grow-Kit Gift Cards are an ideal gift at Christmas or for Valentine's Day. They are designed for you to give or send, with a voucher inside for the recipient to complete with their name and address then send to us to claim their Grow-Kit (see above for details about Grow-Kits).
For the 2012/13 season we have a choice of Gift Card designs (see pictures on the left). The card is sent to you cello-wrapped, complete with an envelope for you to send it to the recipient, and a return pre-paid envelope for them to redeem the voucher with us.
Gift Cards can be sent to you at any time, and are designed for you to write a short message before you give or send it to the recipient.

We are a small, winter season firm supplying mistletoe, mistletoe grow-kits, books and cards. Our mistletoe is harvested from farms across the English mistletoe heartlands of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire & Herefordshire.
